Snowy Owls Class

Children in the Snowy Owls class are in Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4. They are taught by Mrs Eglin and Mrs Alefounder with the support of Teaching Assistants Mrs Clark, Mrs Woolley and Mrs Hillier.

In Snowy class our Maths this term begins with Place Value and general understanding of number before we move to progress addition and subtraction calculations.

English work begins with the novels of Roald Dahl (in good time for Roald Dahl Day). We will start with the Min-Pins and George’s Marvellous Medicine and our class focus will be on character and understanding.

Our History topic takes us back to Ancient Egypt and evidence upon which we base our understanding of that period. (Look out for our golden treasures!).

Art activities and techniques will be based on our history topic and also our Science topic of light and shadow.

Similar links will be made with our Music.

R.E. study begins with Harvest and later in the term considers “The Trinity”.
